Petrol cap.... I thought bmw did one but did to confirm...

only alternative are the two from alpha.... screw in and quick release versions...

any help gratefully received

With me being new to BMW, only about a year now (can't believe the Gen 4 is nearly a year old already) am I the only one that finds Alpha Racing a complete rip off?
Stuff like captive spacers are stupid money. Looked at them and got some Spider ones that are exactly the same with the same etching only they have Spider instead of Alpha on them for about half the price.
Their prices for trivial things like brackets and clamps are ludicrous.

alpha Racing

alpha Racing parts have always been expensive but they are extremely good. That said I?ve always found BMW branded accessories hugely overpriced.

From the limited experience I have with the S1k it seems that a lot of Alpha parts are rebranded and can be found cheaper under a different brand. There's obviously exception to the rule in the more specialist items.

To be honest it?s a mix. Some parts are simply rebranded but other kit they sell is designed by them and outsourced for manufacturing. With a bit of research it?s quite easy to tell which parts are which and who supplied them albeit with alpha Racing branding.

I will only use them if I have to. Learned a long time ago with Ducati that you can get parts that are equally as good if not actually the same parts from other brands much cheaper.
It can be a ballache sometimes like recently when I went to Reactive parts for the brackets for the front travel sensor on the Gen 4 and they just went to Alpha for it which took something like 5 weeks to come and cost about 80 quid. There was no other alternative for the bracket kit but had I known the delivery time I've have made one.

Do not use UK resellers to buy from Alpha. Every single of them is a rip off. Alpha charges 35-55 Euros to deliver with UPS to UK, it's expensive but at least you know it will be delivered for sure.

2D bracket is designed by Alpha so it's the only place to buy one from. Ofc you can design your own or just drill holes in the fork.
