Project Carbon Overload

Just found this forum ( nearly joined the yankee one lol ) so hopefully you can give me a few tips if/when my beemer goes wrong ;D

My Names Glyn, I live in Stoke on trent, passed my test in 2006, and went from a NSR 125, SRAD 600, 05 R1, 07 GSXR1000, and now a 2010 beemer.

I love tarting bikes up, no idea why, I just like to make my bike mine. Seen people get on other peoples bikes without even realising they're on the wrong bike lol

Last bike was a K7 1000, sold it 2 weeks ago after I realised I'd run out of stuff to add. Might not be to everybodys taste, But you'll find it in this months Performance Bikes magazine in the Bike Candy section so it can't be too bad.

Last week I took a huge gamble, spotted an S1000RR on eBay already modified to my taste, the thing is the guy owed £9000 on finance which threw off %99 of buyers. Travelled the 170 miles to London and thoroughly checked over all HP docs, drivers licence to name/address etc. Rang black horse and paid the £9000 of there and then. Filled in the V5 and left with over 5 boxes of standard parts.

All in all I think I got a very good bargain, apparently all the carbon is Ilmberger.

Paid £9000 for it, it's got 3000 miles on it. and god knows how much money he's spent on mods.

Just looking and I didn't realise how expensive this ilmberger stuff is

he's also fitted a PC5 under the seat. Not sure if I like the Austin Racing exhaust, I might go for a Racefit growler.

I'll let you know about the exhaust mate, Just in talks with racefit to get an underslung growler made.

Sorted an integrated rear light out so I could dump the whole back end, now I just need to see if I can mould a decal in place, if not I'll get a 1 x 3 on the battery box by the shock.

I haven't even modified the bike myself, it's exactly how I brought it. and it's Ilmberger carbon so how can you say it's shit :

Maybe he's jealous? Looks good anyway mate. But still seems a harsh comment all the same. It's fine between mates as banter,me and my mate are always doing it lol

To be honest if you are planning on putting a 1"x3" plate on I agree with the buy another GSXR or ZX10R comment, or maybe a vauxhall Nova or Subaru Impreza.
