which brake fluid do you use

manual says DOT 4
everything else says DOT5.1 for ABS?

any experience anyone ?

dot 4 is a yellowish colour and dot 5 is clear but you cant mix the two ;D

Dot 5 and Dot 5.1 are very different. 5 is silicone fluid, Dot 5.1 is ordinary mineral, but to a better spec than Dot 4 - for the tiny additional cost, I always stick Dot 5.1 in a system that says okay for Dot 4. Dot 5 in a Dot 4 system would eat the seals...

Dont get hung up on the DOT's, the best stuff is castrol SRF DOT 4 but it costs a bomb.

My recomendation is the Silkolene DOT 4 racing stuff or the Motul RBF 600/660

OEM stuff £5 , couldn't wait
Unbelievably they only charged me £4 for a new brembo bleed screw , plug and cap
They were £20 on eBay
