Introducing my first BMW; absolutely in love, even if still in limited running in mode.

Purchased from Cannons in Braintree with Performance back and DWA.

I Fitted an Evotech tail tidy over the weekend. Felt bad cutting the brake light wire so early on but the aesthetic improvement is worth the guilt!

Massive 'right turn assist', but only noticed when using cruise control and both hands off the bars - must be attributed to the exhaust?

Pit lane limiter set up yesterday, 5000 rpm, childish fun will be had through local villages :rolleyes-new:

Question: If DTC intervention is logged on the bar graph display (I've seen 30%), but the orange DTC warning light doesn't flash, does this indicate torque reduction due to wheelie control as opposed to rear wheel slip? I.e. does the DTC light only flash for rear wheel slip control?

Anyway, obligatory new bike shots below. Looking forward to being on the forum and learning more about my pride and joy.IMAG4105.jpgIMAG4107.jpgIMAG4108.jpgIMAG4109.jpg

Cheers, Mike

Nice one Mike, I will check my RTA (Right-Turn-Assist) once mine is back on the road as I have the Akra system fitted.
FYI, I set my Pit-Lane-Limiter to something like 5000 too and it's just over 30mph (~34).

No idea on the DTC light vs indication

Received a TT screen from Skidmarx today. Fitment was fairly tricky as the holes were not spot on, but eventually got it in properly in place. It's tall, and will certainly offer improved wind protection...

Welcome along, the bike looks good in those colours.
The side reflectors must go tho.....:05.18-flustered:

Fitted my Hepco and Becker Sportrack. Quality bit of kit. Purchased an additional lock and lock bracket in order to be able to easily swap between the cowl and rack.

Also fitted the loops for my Kriega US20 and test fitted the bag. Very happy with it.

All set for road trip to Spa Francochamps next weekend. Not a track day unfortunately, it's the 'Bikers Classic', all the old racers punting around on their old steeds.

Very tidy that Mike, what Kriega loops are those attached to your rack? The subframe loops? I alway seem to end up with loads of strap flapping all over the place with mine.

Thanks Eddie. Yes they are the subframe loops. I attached the loops then cut the excess off and used a lighter to seal the ends and stop them fraying. I then removed and refitted, this time poking the plastic buckle through the hole and fastening behind the rack 👍

Hi MRD, it's an awesome bit of kit mate. A little advice if I can. I've just used the exact same kit to do 2700 miles around the Pyrenees and I found I had to move the front straps forward and turn the bag sideways on. As after a while the bag starts to slide forward and hits ya ass. Other than that it really is a great way to travel. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks Skel. Good advice. I'll look at mounting it sideways on. Hope you had an awesome trip. I did the Pyrenees last year, incredible roads eh!

I've the same rack for mine , an amazing bit of kit , well worth the money.

Fitted my Evotech guards today. Took a few hours as it was the first time I've had the plastics off.

Very happy with the fit and finish, and not a cable tie in sight 👍

GB Racing engine case protectors added today. That's as far as I'll go with bolt on bike protection (Evotech rad guards also fitted).

Next stop, full exhaust.

Mike,
When you said you purchased additional lock and lock bracket ?? does this mean the frame comes with no lock and you need to remove original from rear cowel ??
I checked website and it does not mention lock or bracket just says all fittings ?
